My Story

Mj Life Coaching

I wish I had known earlier in my life what I know today about the key to genuine success and happiness. For years, I was running at a thousand miles per hour, trying to meet the expectations I thought the world had of me.

In my constant quest for 'success,' the closer I got to it, the further away it felt.

I emigrated to Canada when I was 17 years old. That day marked a profound change in the life of the small-town girl I was. I embarked on a new journey away from my mother, my younger sister, and brother. Everything I had known as home until that day disappeared. Fear became my main companion at the beginning of this voyage, no doubt. Nevertheless, my desire to accomplish bigger things, my passion for growth, and my endless curiosity also came with me in this adventure.

I learned two new languages and graduated from business school at Concordia University. I worked in the corporate world for many years, in different companies ranging from startups to large international corporations. I found my dream job at an emblematic industry-leader organization I always wanted to work for. Although I deeply enjoyed some aspects of my job, I constantly felt something was missing. For a long time, I sensed that I  was out of place. I became unmotivated, and deep inside, I knew I was not where I was meant to be.

For years, I was living on autopilot. I knew I was somehow betraying myself. I let my fears take over. I felt like I had already made a choice, and it was too late to change anything, as if I I was somewhat condemned for the rest of my life.

It wasn’t until I became a mom, battled with postpartum depression and anxiety, and went through a very challenging situation regarding the health of my children that I reached my limit and burned out.

This was the darkest period of my life. I was forced to dig deep and tap into my inner strength, even if I felt I didn’t have what it took.

It was then that I embarked on a new journey. It felt like I was emigrating once again, but this time I was coming home to myself.

I spent months in search of meaning, purpose, and a more fulfilling life. I delved very deeply into who I was. I worked with professionals from various fields, and it was during this time that I encountered the world of coaching.

I immediately fell in love with it. I witnessed the immense transformational impact it had on my life. I knew this was what I had been searching for. It became clear that this was my calling, and since then, my mission has been to help people find meaning and create a life they truly love.

By healing myself, I was able to give my all not only to myself but also to my children, my family, friends, and my community. Today, I have an overwhelming desire to help others, and that is why I have made coaching my profession. Visit the My Coaching Approach page to learn more about my coaching model.
